The article explains that Lotto Social helps its members by providing a simple way to boost their chances of winning while spending less.

Increase your chances of winning with Lotto Social

Lotto Social is a lottery fan’s fantasy! Giving more savings on lines, so its members can play more and boost their chances of winning.

Lotto Social makes it simple to join a syndicate. These new methods of participation make the lottery more inexpensive. Ten entries would normally cost £25 per draw. Now, 10 Lotto Social entries are a fraction of the price, and the winners split the prizes. According to Camelot, syndicates now win one in every five jackpots, so it’s already a popular method to play and win.

Win with Lotto Social: What is a Superdraw, and how does it work?

Superdraws are the big brother of regular draws. The only difference between the two is the size of the guaranteed jackpot, which is always in the nine figures. When no one wins the jackpot in a draw, it will roll over until someone wins or reaches the jackpot cap.

Choose 5 major numbers (1-50) and 2 star numbers (1-12). Covering more numbers will boost your chances of matching the winning combination.

We offer several options for you to boost your chances of winning at Lotto Social. Whether you’re participating in your favourite lotteries or hoping to win big in a Superdraw, join a LottoSocial syndicate. We’ll handle the logistics; all you have to do is focus on your lines! When you play with Lotto Social, you boost your chances of winning significantly.

What is the history behind the EuroMillions Superdraws?

Have a higher chance of winning with Lotto Social

The first EuroMillions draw was in February 2004. Initially, the lottery was only available in France, Spain, and the United Kingdom. EuroMillions is currently available in nine European countries. On February 9, 2007, the first EuroMillions Superdraw took place with a grand prize of €100 million.

On October 24, 2014, one of the largest Superdraw jackpots ever won was €190 million by a fortunate ticket holder from Portugal.

So keep that in mind if you decide to acquire additional lines. Ultimately, the more lines and numbers you have, the better your chances!

Couple holding a cheque claiming their lottery winnings

Couple win £1 million thinking it was a scam

A couple from Telford, England, are celebrating after bagging lottery winnings of £1 million on the lottery!

Ruth says she almost forgot to buy a ticket on the day of the draw due to her Karate class. But luckily, Rob reminded her to buy a ticket before leaving for class. If that wasn’t enough, the pair were convinced their winning email was a scam!

Ruth Giblin and her husband Rob only started playing the lottery together two years ago. They were going to stop playing after their first year of playing, but Ruth convinced Rob to continue for just one more year.

Narrowly claiming their lottery winnings…

Couple show off national lottery winnings

The sceptical couple assumed it was a trick when they received a notice on the National Lottery app the next day.

They didn’t realise they were millionaires until they contacted Camelot to confirm their prize, at which point they broke into tears!

‘Rob set reminders for me to put the EuroMillions ticket on, as he has to every week, while I was away,’ says Mrs Giblin.

It was time to claim their lottery winnings!

Rob stated that he bought the ticket and soon forgot about it, going straight to Karate that evening. He explained that they got up early the following day for a swim when he received an email informing him they had excellent news regarding the ticket.

Rob continued to explain that when he got into his National Lottery app, he saw that he had only matched one number, but it said he had won £1 million, which baffled him.

Mrs Giblin, a leisure centre supervisor, was concerned it was a hoax and went online to look for the phone number she needed to call to verify the victory.

Couple celebrated lottery winnings with champagne

She explains that she was certain it was a hoax. However, when she noticed it was the exact number for Camelot, she tried to call it, only to find they were not yet open…

Rather than sitting around, they opted to go swimming even though it was all they could think about.

They then spoke about what they would do if it was real all the way home. However, they were trying not to get their hopes up.

What do they plan to do with the money?

They immediately told their two children and went to Mrs Giblin’s parent’s house to inform them on what was her father’s birthday.

The couple, who have been married for 23 years, intend to maintain their careers. They plan to share their newfound fortune with the rest of their family.

The pair have also paid their mortgage and are planning a luxury holiday and purchasing a new kitchen.

They intend to construct a summerhouse for their daughter and intend for her to use it as an art room. They also plan on buying a gaming computer for their 16-year-old son.

Ruth’s winning EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker code for the Friday, July 22, EuroMillions draw was TLBX74150.

you've won the lottery... now what

What to do if you win the jackpot

We have all fantasised about winning the lottery jackpot. Maybe you’ve even dreamed about what you’d do with all that money or how it would feel to become a millionaire overnight. What happens if your dreams come true? What should you do if you win the jackpot?

Here at Lotto Social, we have a bird’s eye view of what happens to jackpot winners, and we want to help you avoid making the big mistakes should your numbers come up. So here is your complete guide to show you precisely what you need to do after winning big.

Accept the prize anonymously if you win the jackpot

When you win, there will be pressure to go public. Everyone from the Daily Mail to your local paper will be interested in your story. If you decide you want to go public this is a personal choice, but as a default we suggest staying private.

But if you do decide to go public, it’s important to consider both the pros and cons. Your friends, family as well as strangers will be aware of your win.

Set yourself boundaries if you win

It may be difficult to hide your win even if you decide to stay private. If you decide you want to give. It’s important to sit down and think about who you want to give money to before this happens and how much to give. Be preemptive. Tell the people you will give them money; however, you are not a piggy bank. Practice telling people no. Above all, remember this – it is YOUR money.

Speak to a financial advisor

You just won the jackpot; of course, you will want to splurge! And you should, but before that we suggest speaking to a financial advisor. They can help you figure out how to make your money last for the long-term, not just now. If you want to invest your winnings, this can be a tricky and complex business if you’ve never done it before. This is where a financial advisor will be able to help and direct you to the right people.

But before you can even think about these, you need to win! Skyrocket your chances of winning by making a FREE LottoSocial account today. Get involves in a lottery syndicate or take advantage of our 10 lines for £1 offer.

Tips For Playing In A EuroMillions Superdraw

Buy More Lines

This may be an obvious tip, but a way to increase your odds of winning is by covering more numbers. So essentially, the more numbers you pick, the greater the chances of matching the winning numbers. However, the downside is that the more numbers you choose, the more the expense.

Play Online

An instant tip would be to play online, save time, and play in the comfort of your home. Join a LottoSocial fully-managed syndicate or take advantage of our 10 lines for £1 offer!

What Is a Lottery Syndicate?

A Lottery Syndicate is a group that comes together to purchase lottery lines collectively and share any winnings that may occur. At LottoSocial, we automatically place you in a lottery syndicate of up to 49 players – ultimately increasing your chances of winning.

Here’s how Lottery Syndicates work…

Picture this, the EuroMillions Superdraw is at a massive £150 million, and you and your 9 friends are in a syndicate, buying 10 lines each. Representing 100 lines in all, each member is entitled to a 10% share.

You and your friends win!

Congratulations! This would mean that each member will have £15 million each, a 10% share of the £150 million jackpot.

If you had bought 10 lines without playing in a lottery syndicate, then the chances of winning the jackpot would reduce by 90%.

the 5 craziest ways lottery winners spent their fortune

The 5 Craziest Ways Lottery Winners Spent Their Fortune

We’ve put together a list of the 5 craziest ways lottery winners have spent their fortune. There are plenty of cliches about how lottery winners spend their money. Gigantic houses, flashy cars and round-the-world trips come to mind! However, not everyone who wins big has such plain tastes. It turns out that the spending patterns of many big jackpot winners were, shall we say… a little unusual. Let’s go!

Craziest winner 1: Jonathan Vargas created his own wrestling TV show

Winning the lottery jackpot

Jonathan Vargas was only 19 when his numbers came up in the US Powerball. His winnings totalled a staggering $35.3 million, and his initial plans for the money were surprisingly modest: invest most of it, buy a new house and generally just secure his future.

Jonathan ended up taking a different path. Combining his twin passions in life, wrestling and scantily-clad women, he created his own television show, “Wrestlicious Takedown”. The show was a strange mixture of all-female wrestling and comedy sketches.

With Vargas himself frequently making appearances under his rapper alias “JV Rich”. Far from being a wild success, the TV network decided to cancel Wrestlicious after one series. We must commend Jonathan, though – no one can say he didn’t follow his dreams!

Craziest winner 2: Tom Crist gave all of it away to charity

Tom Baker Lottery Winnings

Gifts and large philanthropic donations rank highly on statistics about how people spend their lottery winnings. However, it’s extremely rare to see someone opt to give ALL of their winnings away to charity. Yet this is exactly what Canadian Tom Crist did, who won $40 million on the Lotto Max draw in 2013.

I just retired at the end of September, so I was fortunate enough in my career to set myself up and my kids anyway, and there was no doubt in my mind where that money was going to go, it was going to go to charity.” – Tom Christ.

Craziest winner 3: Gloria Mackenzie fixed her childhood school’s roof

Lottery winners giving to charity

84-year-old Gloria MacKenzie won a jaw-dropping $590.5 million in the US Powerball. She chose to take the lump-sum payout of $278 million. She then wasted no time upgrading the small trailer she lived in to a 6000-odd foot luxury home.

Her next step was a little less conventional. Gloria made a $2m donation to Schenck High School, her local high school, which she attended as a child, and that her daughter was teaching at. She set the money aside to repair the school’s roof. It seems plenty of people are willing to give generously to others with no expectation of anything in return!

Craziest winner 4: Michael Carroll blew it all in spectacular fashion

Michael Carrol winning the lottery jackpot

Carroll, who goes by the nickname the “King of Chavs”, was only 19 when he won £9.7 million on the National Lottery in 2002. He did not even have a bank account set up at the time of his lottery win. In the 10 years that followed, Carroll managed to spend all of his winnings on lavish new purchases.

His national reputation as a “Lotto Lout” was stoked by the numerous occasions he ran into trouble with the law, receiving an ASBO and serving jail time in the years following his win. In 2010 he applied for his old job as a binman but didn’t get it.

He spoke about his current job at a biscuit factory: “I get £204 every week for packing and stacking shortbread and cookies, and I love it. I treasure those wages more than any £9 million fortune.” This cautionary tale shows that, for some, a massive lottery win can be more of a curse than a blessing!

Craziest winner 5: John Kutey build a water park

Winning the lottery with a lottery syndicate

John Kutey won a $28.7 million share of $319 million as part of a syndicate with work colleagues. Intending to give something back to his home city, he went to the village hall with his wife to work out how best to do just that. That’s how Kutey ended up donating $200,000 towards constructing a “Spray park” in Green Island, New York.

Landmarks That Wouldn’t Exist Without The Lottery

Landmarks That Wouldn’t Exist Without The Lottery

Did you know that the lottery does more than make people rich? It helps charity projects to grow from an idea to reality. It also has created some very well-known landmarks that would not be here today without the lottery

Find out which global landmarks have benefited from the worldwide lottery below. Some may surprise you!

The Lottery and The Statue of Liberty

The Statue of Liberty is one of the biggest monuments in the modern world. Surprisingly, over four million tourists arrive there each year, making it one of the top 50 tourist destinations on the planet. It isn’t easy to assume that the monument wouldn’t be here without lottery cash.

How The Lottery helped build the statue of Liberty

The endeavour to construct the enormous statue was exceedingly costly and hampered by logistical issues. The Statue of Liberty was built in two stages: the statue itself in France, then the foundations in America. The French began fundraising in 1875, but by 1880, the planned cost of the plan had more than doubled, reaching one million francs! Fearing they as a country that couldn’t keep its commitments, the French urgently launched new fundraising drives, including presenting the statue’s head at the Universal Exhibition in Paris.

Developing a National Lottery salvaged the project and allowed it to travel to the United States. The French lottery offered expensive paintings and other fine art pieces as rewards. The cost of constructing the base equals that of the stunning landmark itself.

London’s Millennium Bridge

How The Lottery helped build London’s millennium bridge

The iconic Millennium Bridge in London was built with a spectacular steel art design to commemorate the year 2000. The Heritage Lottery Fund, part of the National Lottery, provided funding for the project. Unfortunately, the bridge became infamous when it opened because it kept bouncing about, earning it the moniker “Wobbly Bridge” for a while. Thankfully, it was re-engineered to ensure structural stability and is now a modern-era London monument worth a visit.

The Lottery and the Colosseum of Rome

The Colosseum is a spectacular landmark that has remained one of the New Seven Wonders of the World because of this financing. Indeed, Augustus, the Roman Emperor, is known to have instituted a lottery to acquire money from the “plebeians” following costly civil wars: money that was documented in building new roads and the Colosseum.

How The Lottery helped to build the Colosseum

With an estimated 18 million euro financial injection, Italy’s ailing economy sent taxes and lottery revenue back towards the Colosseum to save the ancient structure from crumbling.

Landmarks of Colonial America

Much of New World America was created using lottery money. The Jamestown Colony, the first English colony in the Americas, was funded by one set by King James I. A Grand National Lottery was used to renew most of Washington, D.C., in 1823. However, there was one minor setback: when the winner went to claim the $100.000 jackpot, the organisers fled with the money, forcing the Federal Government to pay the reward.

How The Lottery helped to build American landmarks

Thanks to lottery financing, thousands of modern and historical sites throughout the world exist today. When you play games like the Lotto, you may not only be in with a chance of becoming a millionaire, but you may also be helping long-term historical initiatives.

There you have it. Thanks to past and present players, you are all helping to create a legacy for generations to come. So next time you have a losing ticket, try not to be too downhearted. Instead, think of the great causes you are helping!

How To Play The Lottery 10 Times For Just £1

How to Play The Lottery Ten Times for Just £1

Love or hate the lottery, we all fancy our chances when the jackpot climbs to the record breaking highs of over £100m – who doesn’t want to dream of what you can do with that?  Buying the odd ticket at £2.50 for one single line is ok, but it all adds up if you want to play regularly. Demand for lottery syndicate companies like Lotto Social who offer their members 10 entries for £1, have become increasingly popular […]

what is a lottery syndicate

What Is A Lottery Syndicate?

A lottery syndicate is a group of people who buy lottery tickets collectively and share any winnings in proportion to each person’s contribution. By pooling their money and purchasing several tickets together, the group markedly improve their chances of winning the jackpot. Here at LottoSocial, our online syndicates offer a quick, easy and secure way to play in a syndicate!

What are the benefits of a lottery syndicate?

The main benefit of a lottery syndicate is the enhanced chance of success. For example, if somebody enters the National Lottery alone, they have about a one in 14,000,000 chance of winning the jackpot. Yet, if they play with a group of nine other players through LottoSocial, they’ll have a 10 in 14,000,000 chance of winning. Whilst you’ll have to share the prize with the rest of the group, the increased odds of bagging the main prize make this compromise well worth it! Being part of a syndicate is also a more cost-effective way of playing your favourite lotteries. You can spend what you usually would,  but with a much higher chance of success.

How do you set up a lottery syndicate?

Join a fully-managed syndicate like a LottoSocial syndicate! At LottoSocial we put you in online syndicate groups with others. This saves you the from having to find people to join your syndicate. The unfortunate reality with offline syndicates is that there is a risk of deceit and deception from certain members. This can lead to others missing out on the prize money. When playing in a fully-managed online syndicate, you can avoid this kind of risk altogether. Online syndicates guarantee you the prize money from any draws you enter.

Here at Lotto Social, we will automatically purchase your tickets, add them to existing syndicates and manage any payouts for you. There is no chance of a syndicate member refusing to share the winnings. All you need to worry about is how you spend that prize money! Moreover, we bring our customers together to play the lottery by providing spaces for you to chat and join new communities. The clue is in our name. We ensure the lottery is no longer an individual game but a social one!

The importance of a lottery syndicate manager and a binding agreement

If you’re forming your own syndicate offline, it’s essential to have a binding contract setting out the rules of playing. You’ll also need to appoint a syndicate manager. When playing through LottoSocial, all of this is automatically taken care of. We will handle the purchasing of tickets and distributing winnings.

By agreeing to our terms and conditions, you agree to be bound to this setup. You do not have to worry about appointing a syndicate manager or organising anything. It is also imperative for all members to sign a binding agreement to help prevent issues.

Two cartoon people celebrating winning the lottery by throwing cash in the air wearing red shirts and jeans.

The agreement should outline:

  • Who each member is and what duties they have (e.g. the syndicate manager)
  • How much each individual is contributing
  • Date of the syndicate creation
  • A formal payout procedure detailing what happens in the event of a win

image of lottery tickets with yellow pencil on a purple background.

Your syndicate agreement should also include clauses for members wishing to join or leave the syndicate and what happens in the event of a missed payment. All of this will settle any disputes. Such as, if you win big and a member or two claims they’re entitled to a larger share than everyone else. This will protect every member and guarantee fairness. All members must sign the agreement to certify that they understand and agree with the terms outlined and make it binding.

For online syndicates, all of these considerations are in the terms and conditions members agree to when signing up. As a result, there is no need to draw up your own agreement. You do not need a license or permission to form your own syndicate, although you must create it in a particular way to ensure that it doesn’t ‘promote a lottery’ under the Gambling Act 2005. Due to this, the syndicate manager must be the only ticket holder and the sole member with a direct claim. If every syndicate member had direct claims, this would be ‘promoting a lottery’.

By increasing your chances of winning, playing in a lottery syndicate is a no-brainer if you’re looking to get rich! With LottoSocial syndicates offering a more straightforward way of entering lottery draws as a collective, you can now be part of a syndicate in no time.

Friendship groups can be big or small, but they all have one thing in common: they give their members a sense of belonging and encourage them to work together towards a common goal.
