5 Ways To Celebrate the International Day Of Charity

What is International Day of Charity?

The International Day of Charity was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 2012 in the wake of Mother Teresa’s death. It commemorated one woman’s tireless work to help overcome poverty and show the importance of helping others. Now, the International Day of Charity is recognised across the globe by everyone.

Why should you celebrate International Day Of Charity?

Charitable acts are one of the highest expressions of love. It is about giving without expecting anything in return. On this day we remember all those who dedicate their lives to helping others. And we make an extra effort to do charitable work.

How can you get involved?

There are many ways that you can celebrate the International Day of Charity and support charitable organisations. Here are 5 ways you can celebrate the International Day of Charity.

1. Vote with LottoSocial

Giving back is important to us at Lotto Social. We run Charity of the Month and the Hope Campaign, donating £1,000 to 2 charities each month. Our members are the ones who choose who we donate to! If you’re passionate about donating to charity all year round, follow us on social media and keep an eye on our blog. Each month we’ll be giving you the opportunity to vote who we should donate the £1,000 to .

Thank you to all of you who have participated in voting for the COTM so far!

2. Volunteer with a charity event

Volunteering with a charity is one of the best ways to support a local charity. Many nonprofit organisations rely largely on their volunteer base. In fact, just 9% of charities have paid employees. The remaining 91% rely entirely on volunteers. Therefore, volunteering your time on this global day of giving is the perfect way to support charitable organisations.

Many charities hold events throughout the year. Why not see if there is one that you can help with?

3. Organise your own charity events

Everyone enjoys events, whether they are a formal dinner, a musical performance, a family gathering, or a holiday party. A fundraising event can be a fantastic way to support your preferred charity while also bringing in new supporters to the cause.

Perhaps you’re a runner, or maybe your friends and family are keen to raise money for charity. Why not organise an event yourself? You could ask people to pledge money in return for completing something that is challenging and interesting.

4. Share what you have done to inspire others

Donating to some of your favourite organisations directly from Instagram is an incredibly simple way to participate in the day’s celebrations. Charities may now help raise money directly from Instagram by using the Instagram Stories “Donate” sticker. Why not donate to a cause that is dear to your heart this International Day Of Charity by using the “Donate” sticker?

5. Showcase your work

The International Day of Charity is also a terrific chance for organisations to express gratitude to their employees, volunteers, and supporters for helping them bring about change.

Companies that have partnered with charities can also express their gratitude to the charities they support and highlight their joint accomplishments.

Additionally, you can publish the long-term objectives of your fundraising plan to create awareness early on, giving you the chance to ask for more support from your audience.

Hi, so far I was quite happy with a lotto social and joining the lottery syndicate I had really good time but on the last month or so is very hard to start playing a game is because it’s very very slow sometimes I need like a 10-15 minutes just to go on the page and pressing some buttons to play like even now is plunko- easter , asking me to claim the bonus when I click on them it’s coming up like I don’t have enough credit but that’s supposed to be free to play and I spend already 45 minutes trying to get through and it’s impossible I really like social lotto and leave some really nice feedback on Trust pilot but how I say on the last month or two is very very slow everything I try to do even to log in I don’t know why maybe someone have to look on it and just updating a little bit apart from there I’m really happy with the Lotto social hopefully some money will do something about many thanks
